The Alaska-Canada Corridor[edit]
The Laurentian Ice Sheet never joined the Rocky Mountains Glacier, leaving a corridor ice-free that was used by asian inmigrants (along the Yukon-Mackenzie river valleys). Gwen Schultz, among many others, explains this fact. The same can be said in Europe: the Scandinavian Ice Cap never joined The Alpine glacier. The reason for this is in the adiabatic heat in the air going down on the north slopes in the Alps and on the easter slopes of the Rocky Mountains. --Fev (talk) 04:06, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
