The news article doesn't make it clear whether:

1. The guy is a very delusional religious nut
2. The guy knows the case is silly in the extreme, but he is trying to get some point across (but is still a religious nut, but not as crazy as in #1). (I recall that some sane US senator attempted to sue the Christian god to make a point.)

I get the feeling that #1 is true, but the guy seems to be a legitimate lawyer.

Good luck with that considering there was no body, no murder weapon and no motive and his only supposed source, the christian bible, confirms there was no body, no murder weapon and no motive. Not to mention the Statute of Limitations for Deicide is only 2,000 years.

On the other hand, if the jury consisted of Mel Gibson, Imajinabad, Quanell X, Anthony Scalia and the Coeur D'alone City Council and Fox News was given exclusive coverage rights, who knows? Even if there was a Judgment against "The Jews" seems like there would still need to be some refund to the Jews since we would all agree that Jewish property stolen by Christians from Jews in the last 2,000 years has to be some multiple of what The Jews currently hold.

Background: Various lawyers have been running court-cases in the UK to shake down the UK taxpayer on allegations of long-ago misbehaviour during British colonial rule. All the claims are fraudulent, not least because most of the shooting took place during the Mau Mau murders, but UK judges have happily pissed away lots of our money in "compensation". Not surprisingly, these chancers have kept coming back, again and again and again.

To my eyes, this is one of those gentry who feels like trying it on elsewhere. It has, after all, been a profitable scam.

In the Bible, Jesus was seen ALIVE after the crucifixion so it is virtually impossible to argue that Jesus was actually killed by anyone.

You know what's funny Roger. The value of life in our culture and theirs is not the same. I say this with absolute knowledge of what I am talking about. I was in Tanzania a few years back filming a circus production based out of Dar Es Salaam and the stage was shoddily manufactured. I remember seeing this one acrobat stacking what must have been ten chairs on top of one another on this stage which was so rickety that I was sure he was going to tumble down to his death. I went on the stage to wave the cameramen to stop shooting and to start another act.

All the Tanzanians looked at me like I was half mad - mzungu wazimu (white man crazy). I tried to explain that I didn't want to be sued if someone died. 'What would happen if he should fall?'

The Indian camera man turned to me and laughed - 'if he dies no one will ask any questions. We'll just throw his body on the street. No one will care.'

Nothing happened of course. But it shows you how strange it is to have them establish the value of life at a high dollar amount in some situations but in everyday reality they themselves see life has no intrinsic monetary value.

Quite so. It is a consequence of a corruption in western governments, the indifference of the rich and powerful to the fact that the money wasted in this way has to be paid by someone, and mainly by poor people; including poor old pensioners with barely enough to live on, yet still obliged to pay tax under threat of prison.

The waste of tax money makes you sick, once you realise that none of those who decide how it is spent actually pay any real tax.
