Were a lot of threads that used to be in BC&H deleted or squirreled away somewhere? I can no longer find any of my own threads and I am not sure where to look.

I have the same problem with past posts.

I am rather sorry to see BC&H go. What was the problem?

I think that feeling was rather against calling the forum "Abrahamic religion" when this last was raised.

I've just looked at the Religious Discussion Guidelines, which seem rather demanding.

Can I ask the forum owners where all these changes come from, and whether they were the product of a process of consultation or what? (I only pop in from time to time, so I probably have missed this stuff). Toto has PM'd me some details, but I wouldn't mind putting the question directly.

All the best,

Roger Pearse

I have been told that the old BCH threads will be archived when RayJ has the time.

Thanks for letting me know. Those threads represent much of my time and thought.

No consultation with the members of BCH or the Moderators because it was well beyond that stage. Consultation was asked 3 months ago in the form of BCH Guidelines. It was an epic fail.

Jo, as you have commented publicly on this subject, I must say that it wasn't a very nice thing to voice. It insults the work that went into trying to do something useful for the forum.

It is also factually incorrect. It cannot be an epic fail when those guidelines were never actually implemented. We did the work to delineate them and everyone agreed to them, but then it was back to business as usual. The guidelines were never enforced. So not an epic fail, but an epic waste of time, only to be insulted for the effort. Everyone consulted cared for the forum and only wanted the best for it. Your above comment is a nice thank you.

Is it possible to restore the old archived BCH posts to the archive, and at least allow viewing of the BCH forum that was whisked away? As noted above, there is a lot of valuable information there.

<consistency edit>

There re a number of free blog hosting services. For those on the religion forum who feel they are truly superior and those deemed intellectually inferior should be forced out and mocked, I just don't get why they don't just start their own blogs. Invite your preferred peers. Exclude all who you deem undesirable.
