Does anyone else know of a culture that stamps a religious statement on their currency?

Yes, and this has been my point ever since the whole PoA flap. People were like, "Geez, they wanna take 'under God' out of the Pledge. What's next? Removing 'IGWT' from our money?" My simple answer is: YES!

And especially in the wake of 9/11! The country seemed to be unified - everyone flying flags, etc. - but we were still using a divisive version of the PoA, and had the divisive IGWT motto! EPU represents our great history: a nation of immigrants who came together under one flag for freedom!

Others have made the point that we got through two World Wars and the Great Depression with no mention of God in the PoA, and earlier in this thread we see that it was nearly a century before anyone needed IGWT!

E pluribus Unum, baby!
