Bell shaped Curves in genome comparisons
The following comes from Douglas Theobald's reply to a creationist critic of "29+ Evidences for Macroevolution." Link

A recent article in Science has a very similar diagram for fruitflies and mosquitoes. Link. The article which it is part of will be free with a registration until October 31. Link |

Well, some parts of it don't reach all the way up, and others it over extends. This is not evidence at all.

From the citation from "29+ Evidences," I went to the PNAS site and the cited paper which the bell shaped curve can be found at:
http://www.pnas.org/cgi/content/full/99/2/803 The full text is free without registration. Also if anyone wants to use that graph in Science I suggest you down load it before November -- the article will go back to subscription, site license, or pay-per-view basis at the turn of the month. |
