whoa! dont go trying to hijack this thread, it is all about archaeology and history and analogs thereto! a prophecy about a very specific place, a very specific people, and a very specific event is not a rant, it is a fact, upon its fulfillment.and the burden of proof shifts to the detractor then to prove that it was self-fulfilled.

I have read the book of Revelation (and taught it) many times. Please give chapter and verse references for the following:

"tactical nuclear weapons"
"gas tank"
"bicycle"
"car"

How very prophetic - a theocracy powered by nuclear waste. This deserves to be in RRP. I'm just not sure that the converse is true ...

What makes the idea of Armageddon especially absurd is not so much whether it's been accurately prophesied (it hasn't) but because it must necessarily be of such limited scope.

Think, ICB, was space-flight ever prophesied? If Man ventures to other planets and solar systems will God's bloodthirsy wrath follow him there or will Armageddon be confined solely to the Earth and therefore we can get away from this silly tragedy?

Or is the entire Universe liable to be judged on that vague and unforseeable day? You've got some serious prosylitizing to do, ICB, if that's the case.

agnos, you say armageddon has not been correctly prophesied, hello here! armageddon (the epic battle of armageddon spoken of in revelation) hasn't happened yet! I'm sure that was just a typo on your part.

Where does it say in the Bible "...have tactical nuclear weapons..."?
It doesn't, it's just you.

I read in Matt 16:28, this claim allegedly made 2000 years ago:
"Assuredly, I say to you there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.".
Nobody from 2000 years ago didn't taste death, everybody is dead by now, yet the 'Son of Man' never came.
This old 'prophecy' by superstitious primitives, is bogus.
