To be fair, the Missouri Synod are far more extreme than the ELCA. I've been to a few ELCA churches in my lifetime, and they all were more or less harmless. The Missouri Synod resembles Southern Baptists more than they resemble other Lutherans.

Isn't it sad that when someone acts like this, condemnation is the result rather than praise? I am so glad my UU minister got out of Missouri Synod eventually.
