Red face Franklin Graham on Faux news

Not sure if this belongs here. Mods, feel free to move if needed.

Franklin Graham was just on Faux news talking about Islam and terrorism. He actually had the gall to say that Christians would never do such things with the approval of church officials. His example? (paraphrased) "If a Roman Catholic were to wire himself with explosives and blow up a bus, the church would utterly condemn his actions."

Hello?!? Anyone home?!? Ever heard of Northern Ireland?!? There are Catholic priests who actually fought with the IRA in the earlier days of "the struggle"!

Regardless of whether or not "the church" has condemned it (and I think J2P2 has), there is no "the church" for Islam and there are mullahs who have condemned the terrorism just as there were priests who have been terrorists.

Graham is now right up there with Falwell and Robertson as the some of the stupidest and most ignorant people in America.

Regards,

Bill Snedden

Hmm...The Inquisition...the Crusades...protecting pedophile priests...Pope Puis XII and the Catholic Church's actions (and lack thereof) before and during WWII, tacitly supporting, or at least not condemning, the Nazis...the list goes on and on.

But yet, if a priest does things which are wrong (and illegal!) with little children the church officials move him to a new location, telling the unsuspecting parish how great he is...hmmm...*sigh*

I wonder what the difference is?

Not to mention how ignorant such comments are of the basis and story of Judeo-Xian mythology. After all Joshua and his hordes wiped out the indigenous peoples of Canaan at god's command.

lol. One of my old college teachers used to call him that, and so have I for about the last 18 years. That's the first time I've seen it since. That's hilarious.
