The universe doesn't need a cause, but on the stated assumption that it does, I vote for Ray Charles. <img src="graemlins/notworthy.gif" border="0" alt="[Not Worthy]" />

Why are you people still arguing over this? Everyone knows that the universe exists because Kip Thorne lost a bet to Stephen Hawking.

The universe and all human life was created as a joke or mistake by the Great Old Ones.

In the beginning, there was an invisible pink unicorn. No, not THAT invisible pink unicorn. This one's male. Anyway, this invisible pink unicorn had indigestion, and farted. Out of the fart came vast amounts of energy and matter, otherwise known as the Big Bang.
But what caused this invisible pink unicorn to come into existance? Well, obviously, He must have had a mother, who happened to also be pink and invisble. But where did She come from? Well, obviously, She had a mother as well. |

So - you're saying that we exist only because we believe we exist? Or did I miss something? |

To believe that the universe exists would require an essence of existence and neither time nor space have this quality. No big deal Bree but existence in my view requires a corporeal substance and neither time nor space have this. |
