This may sound odd, but I almost miss having Vanderzyden around. With so many creationists out there from the YEC, OEC, and ID crowd, you would think that we'd be overun with them, trying to convince us of the error of our ways and how all those secular scientists are wrong. In addition, people from AIG believe that evolution is an evil that is preventing millions of people from accepting their faith. Hugh Ross followers think they have a "testable creation model" that will convince an honest skeptic. Sure, we have Ed and the "Ed Thread", but for the most part, I only see the odd hit and run lately.

My question to the creationist lurkers is, where are you? You have a large audience of evolutionist unbelievers here. If you think that creation "science" and ID refute evolution, then let's hear your arguments.

Creatos do get trounced here quickly and with great vigor.

What I find more amusing is to become a member of some fundy BB and then to post only on the science issues. The far right wing politics, the hateful rants on so called social ills (all due to liberals, naturally), etc., I simply ignor.

Science, and nothing but science, politely stated, avoiding profanity and so on. No flame wars, and ready to apologize at the drop of a hat.

Even in their own lair, most YECs will ultimately shut up. You can never reach the total braindead, but you might be surprised at how many people are open to reason.

PLay nice with the other children.

Evilution is an evil, atheist lie perpertuated by the minions of the Beast! To think that, BILLIONS of years ago (yeah, right!) a bunch of water mixed with a bunch of dirt, and POOF! Here I am typing away! How does your little "theory" (and remember, it's a THEORY; completely UNPROVEN!) explain that? Well, I have a THEORY too, except mine is grounded in REALITY. It's this little book called the BIBLE and it tells exactly how GOD made EVERYTHING! And it's true, too! There's tons of proof! Like, if humans supposedly came from apes, why are there apes today??? Well, that's because IT DIDN'T HAPPEN! What really happened is in Genesis 1:26. Look it up, that is if you can pick up a Bible without burning your evil atheist fingers! And there was a Flood, too! A big one, about 4000 years ago! And there's tons of proof for that! Like, did you know the Grand Canyon was formed in the flood! There's no other way to explain it (well, unless you're an evil atheist, but you tell me how that dinky river could carve the WHOLE canyon). And what about the moon, eh? If the universe was BILLIONS of years old (yeah, right!), then how come THERE'S NO DUST ON IT. At least not nearly as much as was predicted by NASA SCIENTISTS (boy, if they got THAT wrong, who knows what else they made up?). And what about the woodpecker? It's tongue goes all the way around its head! If it "evolved" (yeah, right!) like the athiests like to think it did, then at some point the tongue would be stuck on the back of its head! How is it supposed to eat, then? Answer: IT CAN'T. So you see, evolution is WRONG! Oh yeah, and did you know Darwin even doubted evolution? It's true, he took one look at the eye and nearly abandoned the whole thing. Of course, the Satanic powers that gripped him were strong so he was forced to keep believing evolution right up until he almost died, when he said the whole thing was a LIE! So, even Darwin knew better than to imagine that the eye could form from random chance! Oh yeah, speaking of chance, did you know the odds of a cell coming together ALL BY ITSELF IS 1 in 1x10^756! And the chance of a perfectly functional human being appearing by chance is 1x10^418147! Even if the universe were a TRILLION TRILLION TRILLION TRILLION years old IT COULD NEVER HAPPEN! So, now you see that EVILution is completely impossible. It's not too late, though. Throw off your false idols and come to realize the power of God!

That sounds almost exactly like some of the creationist comments in the Talk.origin archive feedback!

Well on BaptistBoard the creationists, especially Helen Setterfield, got beaten so badly that they changed the rules such that an "administrator" had to filter all posts. Needless to say that many posts most critical and damaging to creationists were rejected for unspecified reasons. I suspect that it is Helen herself that is get to review all posts to there E/C debate.

On ChrisitanForums most of the creationists have left the E/C forum. Many posters have complained that the "evilutionists" have made it an unfriendly environment for "christians," despite the fact that some of the more potent evolutionists are christians.

Petreley shut down his forums after only a few weeks of being confronted with actual science. His "third" set of teeth was and always will be a laughable argument.
