Good points, Fiach.
If God created everything , he created AIDS, ebola, all the cancers, multiple sclerosis, ALS, malaria.... what a wonderful Creator. He must have spent a long time planning the intricate design of the ebola virus, to make sure that upon death the sufferer would be bleeding out from every orifice. Magnificent... If God DIDN'T create everything , who else has the creative powers? Who "designed" all the above stuff (since obviously complex things "need a designer" ) |

That God created humans to be fallible, and punishes them hideously (and eternally) when they fail.
And that that God is a loving and merciful God. |

Or was he just being polite, when what he acutally meant was: "Stand back, angels, I will create man in my image and likeness." |

God the unchanging, that can't make up his mind--
"I want burnt offerings-- no wait, make that the bodies of your enemies' women and children (just the children actually, you can keep the women). And, uh, hey you! Yeah, you over there! Gimme your foreskin! You know what, fuck it all, here's some of my Son's blood-- drink it, and I don't care what else you do..." |

The bears did not kill the children, Debbie. In fact we don't even know how seriously they were injured as I recall.
But I admit, I don't know how those Jewish, Muslim and Catholic apologists do it. I couldn't handle it. Something tells me you are kinder to Jews. Ever list all these for a Jew to tackle? Oh wait, they don't come here, probably because they have no excuse at all, and don't believe in the one person who could assuage the wrath of God. Rad |

Ah yes, another wonderful contradiction: that God becomes wrathful because something happens that he knew right from the beginning would happen, and in fact happened because of the way he created everything in the first place.

2 Kings 2:23-24: "And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the Lord. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them" Sounds pretty bad. Ever seen an angry she bear? |
