Stiletto One

This is kind of along the whole rational-thought line, but I've noticed that the more logical (?) religious people I hang out with, when told that I'm an atheist/agnostic, never accuse me of being Satanist (these people are actively religious, by the way, and do proselytize, but within reasonable limits); but the rabid ones do.

I've always thought it interesting that a good number of religious people don't understand that atheism, by denying God, also denies Satan. *scratch*

Funny semi-related story:

Among other things, I am a Georger, and I had listed in my favorites there, several bills with the old '666' in the serial number. My wife, who also thinks the site is pretty cool, noticed this (and she knows I'm atheist) and asked rather seriously, "You're not in some secret Satanic cult, are you?" Me: no! I didn't think at the time to say that I don't believe in Satan either. I guess I'll have to straighten out that little thing with her at some point.
