How are we hurting your feelings? You can think it sucks to live ones life trying to disprove something that by its own definition cannot be fully understood but how is that directed toward atheists? Atheists don't claim god(s) are disproved, they claim god(s) are unproved.

I think your basic error is in thinking that atheist skepticism impedes peak experiences. Not so! No one has to believe in gods to have or appreciate a peak experience.

I don't know Jesus. And I believe millions of people before Christ didn't know him, and yet they were able to live a meaningful lives.
Aristotle said that the saddest thing is to live the life in vain. Socrates said that the life unexamined is not worth living. Each person were able to draw up a meaningful life without the knowledge of the truth, the way and the life.

But it is true what you say, the Atheist life is meaningless. The man who takes on atheism will suddenly realize a life without meaning; a life without hope. But you know why we do it?
Because it's the truth. Because it's liberating.

I hazard that the answer is NO. You've been taking words from his so-called messenger, i.e. priests and the likes.

And yet you know of their crimes, and it still doesn't bother you that God probably has not spoken to them; in the same way, that he has not spoken to you.

Have you ever stop to wonder that this could all probably be just a hoax?
