So you mean to tell me that if the flood story were true...beer wouldn't have been invented?

Whoooaaah. Such a horrible thought. I have to disbelieve on that premise alone.

I need a beer.

Amie,
Have you followed any of the work of Porcher L. Taylor III? I think that you would find his research interesting. He has spent that last several years trying to find out the very exsistence of the Arc. I for one am a believer, although I must say that it might be hard to find much archeological evidence considering that the Arc's final resting place in Turkey has left it exposed to the elements for 4,000 years. Yet, at the same time, I believe that it will be found and hopefully in good condition

Exposed for 4000 years? That would place the flood concurrent with the 1st Intermediate Period in Egypt which, remarkably, failed to notice. Meanwhile, the Elamites are attacking and destroying Ur on perfectly dry land. The Xia Dynasty of China is doing just fine, as is the Harappo of India.

Does it not bother you at all that your belief is laughably baseless?

I only read the first and the last post in here so ignore me if I'm repeating.

IF there actually was an ark it would have probably been used for fire wood, building houses etc.

Ah, that explains the "pillar of fire" that Moses followed...(or was that Lot?)

Not sure, but I don't think Lot's family tree had many branches if you get what I mean

Now, now, play Nice. According to the Answers in Genesis statement of faith no historical fact can contradict scripture.

Where's your faith, Dude?

Surely the Egyptians were just a myth. No, wait, they were necessary for the exodus. <img src="graemlins/boohoo.gif" border="0" alt="[Boo Hoo]" />

Besides, Kent Hovind says that the Indians prospered because God hadn't invented cowboys yet.

Amazing how creationism-young earthism has an answer for everything.

our thinking is limited to the laws of nature as we know them, now if you step outside that thinking, then what are you left with? endless possibilities..
Amie~
Fine. What makes your belief in a global flood any more valid than someone else's belief in a trio of invisible space cats floating around Jupiter having created the entire universe, hmm?

Answer: absolutely nothing.

And that's the problem with your line of thinking. Your line of thinking doesn't involve any actual thought.
