Post Existence of Noah's Ark

Amie, could you state your case for the existence of Noah's ark, please?

I have my doubts anything but a relatively small flood occurred. It is not a first or second hand account, and so there is no evidence other than Moses recounting a legend, and the science data is a mixed bag.

I fail the "fundy" test I guess.

Your apparent belief in a historical Moses might raise your score on the "fundy" test by a few points.

Thanks Amie ! I'm looking forward to what you have to share.

I'm assuming you wouldn't have suggested it as a debate topic unless you felt you had a strong case to make.

take care
Helen

Amie

You might find it insightful and beneficial to review the last five topics and strings here before presenting your thoughts on this subject.

And <a href="http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com/gen/index.html" target="_blank">here</a> is the link to the sceptics anonated bible's comments on Genesis.

Lame; perhaps. However, I'd say it's either all the true uncorrupted word of God, or it's mankinds interpretation of God's words, with the inevitable influence of Satan mixed through it.
(Which would leave it open to debate, how a holy scrypture that hasn't, so to speak, been 'edited' by the devil in any way would impact the identity of God... to be ignored by default?)

Happy debating to all participants

Marcel.

from the s.a.b.
"6:14-15 Noah is told to make an ark that is 450 feet long. The largest wooden ships ever built were just over 300 feet, and they required diagonal iron strapping for support. Even so, they leaked so badly that they had to be pumped constantly. Are we to believe that Noah, with no shipbuilding knowledge and no shipbuilding tradition to rely upon, was able to construct a wooden ship that was longer than any that has been built since?
But not only was the ark too big to be seaworthy, it was far too small to be able to contain the earth's millions of plant and animals species."
