Did George Harrison deconvert?
Yesterday, I read a newspaper review of George Harrison's recently released CD of songs he recorded shortly before he died. The title of the CD is "Brainwashed". The lyrics in the songs and the opinion of the reviewer seem to suggest that George was going through some sort of deconversion from his life long identity as a spiritual man. Hence the title of the CD. I got the feeling that he was not totally deconverted, but merely more skeptical and not as idealistic as he once was. I was wondering if anyone else was familiar with this, and his reasoning for his apparant change of opinion. Perhaps his bout with cancer and/or his stabbing incident had an effect?

I don't think so.
Check out this URL and follow the music links to find the lyrics. I only looked at a couple, but the title track "Brainwashed" isn't quite what you might think it's going to be. |

I'll have to be perfectly honest and say that Rufus and I would paid good money to get those couple of minutes of our lives back that were wasted by listening to this song on the radio (although we did it to ourselves by not turning it off).
