Ohio educators to hear ID arguments for consideration in schools
The Cleveland Plain Dealer has a page devoted to it here. The articles indicate that the board will be hearing from creationists and ID'ers as well as science advisors in March to consider ID and "balanced treatment." I wonder if they know that both were already declared unconstitutional.
Not bad... all of the editorials support evolution-only in the classrooms, but also explains why creationism and intelligent design are not acceptable alternatives, and of the several replies in the reader comments, I only saw one creationist comment that "God doesn't look like an ape." Edit: Yes, there are forums. [ January 16, 2002: Message edited by: Kevin Dorner ]
|

Should be interesting to see who shows up to speak to the school board in March. Please, please, please invite Kent Hovind to represent the "intelligent design" contingent!

The problem is, the creationists/IDers will use underhanded tactics to peddle their snakeoil, whilst those representing science will be a lot more intellectually honest. So the more dim witted members of the board (and I'm sure there are a few, that's why they're even considering this nonsense) might be fooled.
