Atheistic Pithy Sayings
To go along with the 'Annoying Religious Platitudes' thread it would be nice to have a collection of Secular Sayings.
Behind my desk I have, 'I am an Atheist. Thank God!' which took a whole weekend to carve in oak. How about some more? |

There is no room for God in my world. Probably why he has a nice place of his own.
Make God laugh - plan for the future. I've found Jesus. He was behind the sofa the whole time. There once was a time when everyone feared God and the Church reigned supreme... it was called the Dark Ages. If money is the root of all evil, why do churches want it so badly? To YOU I'm an atheist. To God, I'm the Loyal Opposition. Morality is doing what is right no matter what you are told. Religion is doing what you are told no matter what is right. If there is no God, who pops up the next Kleenex? When did I realize I was God? Well, I was praying and suddenly realized that I was talking to myself. Freedom *OF* religion includes freedom *FROM* religion. If atheism is a religion, then "bald" is a hair color. Every time someone predicts the date of the end of the world, God pushes the date back a little, just to be funny. No amount of belief makes something a fact. |

Religion is the attempt to shrink the human mind into a thumbhole. Sadly, it works on some. Happily, others escape. |
