Lightbulb DMT athiests

I am interested in any self - proclaimed athiests here that have ever had a "stong" trip with the chemical DMT. I am curious as to how you could still be an athiest after a 40 - 60 mg trip with DMT or a DMT derived brew such as Ayahausca?

I am only interested in replies from self - proclaimed athiests who have ever ingested this chemical in a moderate to high amount.
I will disregard any comments from athiests who have not tried this chemical.

"self - proclaimed athiests"? Ignoring the spelling (it's atheist), what other kind is there?

Other than that, this thread seems rather pointless. I would assume that any atheist that had tried that particular brew and still remained an atheist would do so because of the reasons they were atheists in the first place; more than likely they would still lack belief in god due to lack of evidence for god. What other reason would they need?

Like I said I want answers only from an atheist who has tried the substance in large ammounts and still reamains an unbeliever. I want to hear it from them not those who have not tried it. Thank You.

Well, this is a public forum and you may get answers from those who haven't tried it.

While you're waiting for the flood of responses, why is a drug-induced hallucinatory experience to be considered overwhelming evidence of god, as you seem to think it is?

Like I said i am just interested to see if there are any atheists who have done this chemical in the ammount described and still hold to there "unbelief" of transcendescant reality. That is all I am interested in. (For the record it should be said that I do not endorse anything illegal here in this post, go to the Amazon to do it, much better there and legal anyways)

Well, there's a problem right there. One can be an atheist and still believe in transcendant reality. Ask a Zen Buddhist.

Actually Buddhists beleive that eventualy they will become "God".
But that is besides the topic here.

That may be true for some Buddhists, but I don't think it's true for all Buddhists. Becoming a Buddha is not becoming God.

But even if so, one can be an atheist and still believe in transcendant reality. Zen Buddhism was just one example I gave.

i have done dmt a couple of times, in sufficient quantity to thoroughly freak me out, and i am still an atheist.

i am a believer in the tremendous power of altered neurochemistry, though.

i have ingested a lot of psychedelic drugs. enough to know that a trip is just a trip, guys. it may be really intense and spooky, but it's just the ol' noggin reacting to chemical input.

i mean, on peyote one time i hallucinated an entire itty-bitty skeleton mariachi band, clear as day, marching along in their concho belts and sombreros like day of the dead threw up on the desert floor. this does not mean that i believe in the existence of itty-bitty desert-dwelling skeleton mariachi bands, for crying out loud.

i am waiting for rubbercok to tell me that i just didn't do enough, man... to which i say, ha.

(i heard somewhere that dmt is actually produced by the brain in association with so-called near-death experiences, and i have to say that my dmt trips certainly seemed like classic nde -- tunnel of white light, supernatural beings, etc etc. however, this explanation smacks of stoner urban legend. anyone know if it's true?

and if you REALLY wanna get deluded about the meaning of it all and your knowledge thereof, try ketamine. eesh.)
