Yeah, humans are racists and this I agree Blu.The purpose for this post is that I know there will be some who will disagree and claim that God is right for being racist and now one of them has already appeared.
So, Albert, you said God 'choose' Abraham right. But from what I have gathered so far. Abraham have two decendants which is the Arabs and the Jews. So why God only favor the Jews and not the Arabs too. If the God did this in the first place, this will not be war between them in until now, obviously form this, God shows favourtism and isn't compassionate for God only gives benefits to those who worship them. Anyway, how about the Indians who indict in their books Gita that the supreme god Krishna did appear to them and praise their them of their obedience to Him. However, the bible somehow miss out this part, are the writers too careless, I don't think so, again its pretty obvious that the God of the bible is only the god of a single race and not of all existence. Furthermore Albert, your religion are rather pathetic and do you know why. It is partly due to the fact that they condemn all other religions plus their own kind. It is a well-known fact that christinity itself has several denominations which are to name a few the catholic, protestants , Jehovah witness etc. So for goodness sake, which one of them is the right one whereas the rest are condemned. I think most people here will agree with what I have said. |

Dear ReasonableDoubt,
Can't you conform to your namesake? I critique poetry, my own dreams, and Shakespeare without providing evidence. So why can't I critique the Bible without evidence? How un-reasonable of you! You have violated Coleridge’s critical prerequisite, "the suspension of disbelief." Answerer was responding to the Bible as literature and I was responding to his response as literature. So your demand for forensic evidence is a non sequitur. Your attitude might be applicable to getting a rapist off in a court of law but is misapplied here where the fable status or Word of God status of the Bible is not on trial. Your objection is overruled and I hold you in contempt. -- Albert the Traditional Catholic |

Answerer,
It didn't exactly go as per your text: Although it has been known sometimes that Jews are the chosen one of God, there was something that I find disturbing. Why do God choose Jews as the chosen ones? He seems to demonstrate favoritism and racism towards His own creations. All of the known prophets in the bible were Jews and other prophets of other races such as Mohammad were disregarded as false or heretic. If God is really so just and fair, then why didn't He send his messages to every races in the world and in doing so, the world will be short of several conflicts and confusions. But too bad, the actual fact is that only Jews received their messages first, just because they are more 'worthy'. It was more like this: OK, let's choose a god. OK, there we are , god appointed. Now of-course this god appoints us (not really a coincidence) as his chosen people. (why would somebody choose an obscure tribe walking around in the desert is circularly explained above) Ok, now where are we going to live: OK, our self appointed god now chooses a promised land for us. Tough luck that somebody is living there already. Result 3000 years of fighting and killing because of an arrogant tribe insisting they are the chosen one’s. Racism: yes of-course but jewish racism is acceptable isn't it. |
