Basically the only scientists i don't agree with are the ones trying to explain the origin of life and the universe.

Rather the only scientists you don't agree with are those that have demolished the veracity of your ancient myths, which is roughly 99.9% of them.

Why don't you pray for Jesus to take you home to heaven, then? Boo hoo. :boohoo:

And the difference is? What business is it of ANYONE, even a deity, whether people indulge in 'filthy', 'immoral' behaviours that hurt no one, such as consensual homosexuality?

And where would the lesson in that be? Get rid of STD's so humans can have sex with whoever they want, whenever? Lust is still a sin, and there is always the problem of unwanted pregnancies leading to abortions and the deaths of millions of babies. Want to avoid the consequences of stupid actions? Don't sleep around.
Magus, do you actually WANT people to get infected with STDs if they sleep around? From what you say, I think you do. I also think that it is cruel and selfish for people to wish harm on others, but I suppose you'd say, 'they deserve it.'

What about rape victims who contract STDs? What did THEY do to deserve it? Will you pull a Hollingworth and claim that they ASKED for it?

An infested cesspool of sex crazed, hateful, envious, arrogant, selfish people.

Incidentally, 80% of whom, at least in this country, claim to be Christians, just like yourself.

Yup, all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The difference being, I don't like living in a world like that. I hate my sinful side. I seek God's forgiveness, because I know He hates sin, and it goes against His Holy nature.

Despite the fact that his 'nature' is completely arbitrary and meaningless.

And you still haven't answered these points I made:

If morality depends on who does an act, not the act itself, it becomes meaningless.

would you accept a university graduate into a position in your company if all of his/her assignments and exams were completed by someone else?

No, Christians have sinned. Sin is for Christians, understand? Don't call me a sinner, okay? Thanks.

Or is that part of your "greater" morality too?

So which world are you living in these days? Is there more than one?

Hating yourself isn't real productive. But hey, fill your boots. It's your life.

Good for you, and good for your god. Whatever turns your crank.

Just don't go around mouthing off that non-believers are incapable of apprehending some exalted horseshit absolute morality that exists only in Magus55's fevered imagination, okay?

GAH! I give up! (although I'm probably lying and will respond to something magus says later )

I never said that christians were morons, I simply stated that scientists are not trying to disprove your book or religion. Science has absolutely nothing to do with religion, people like you are the ones that try to mix the two. A good scientist (yes I realize there are bad ones, which is why there is peer review) researches something with no agenda or bias so that they can learn about it. Their intent is to gain knowledge about the world or universe around them, there is no harm in that. Do you find it odd that somebody might just say "hey, I dunno if what it says in that 2000 year old book is true or not, maybe I'll test it" (assuming they've even read the bible)? Personally I think that if it was really true then that's exactly what scientists would find (I'm sure some of them even thought for sure that it is what they'd find). Your hate for the world is obviously from being repeatedly told how shitty the world is and how great god and heaven are. I live a decent life. I'm content, I have no reason to hate everybody (sure there are idiots, but hell, you can't win em all).

I don't hate anyone - I hate sin. And the world is pretty crappy. Thousands upon thousands of people die daily for selfish reasons. There is endless, hate, despair, sadness, murder, violence, greed, lust, destruction, etc.

I hate my sins too. The difference is that I'm going to try my best to do something about them, whereas you hand all the responsibility to the blood of Jesus.

When you get to the afterlife, Magus, you'll find out that your belief in Jesus Christ counts for nothing. The only thing that counts is your kindly behaviour towards other people. Meaning that atheists have as much chance of getting to the highest levels of heaven as you do.
