Default The ID Rhetorical Shell Game Continues

Please see http://www.arn.org/ubb/ultimatebb.ph...3;t=000729;p=2 as the thread devolves into an amazing, rhetorical shell game from one Jerry Don Bauer.

I'm literally gobsmacked. IDers keep suprising me in what lengths they will go to avoid having to do science.

Wow. I haven't looked in on ARN on a long time, since it was decaying fast last time I was there. I see that they've revivified themselves by recruiting rambling hayseeds to fill up the threads with more ignorant chaff.

I admit that ARN appears to have declined drastically in intellectual content in the year or two I've been observing it (and the few months in which I've been posting). It does, however, serve as occasional amusement.

But Jerry Bauer is actually a very old poster; he used to be Chronos, and before that Jeptha, and has posted his belief (supported by extraordinariy dubious mathematics) that not only is Dembski's CSI trivial to demonstrate, but that it is caused by the Second Law of Thermodynamics.

What is intriguing about ARN are the personalities; why they post; why they believe what they do; how they understand science to work.

Isn't this the same Jephtha who started on about the 2nd law in the Christian Forums thread "The Big Bang Theory" a little while ago? Far as I remember, SLP recognised him from somewhere and started calling him on inconsistencies which he insisted weren't inconsistencies just because they happened to say the opposite of each other. I think he was favouring the Beliefnet board with his particular brand of physics a while back too, but the search function over there is so worthless it isn't worth trying to find the thread. It'd just be more of the same anyway. ID creationists are very long-winded and take themselves very seriously. I can only take the ARN board in very small doses; too indigestible otherwise.

The same. If you didn't know, I post as SLP there.
Jerry and I had a "debate" a year or so ago at the old OCW board. It was moderated by a YEC. After a few exchanges, even the YEC moderator was getting tired of Jerry Don's red herrings and idiocy. One of my favorites was his insistence that if I did not supply him with the full text article of a citation, then it would be considered an invalid source....

If you are into suffering, you can see parts of it for yourself:

I recall Jeptha from OCW as well. And, he had an earlier run at ARN. Just for fun, look up Jeptha in the Old Testament. He was an total ass.
