Red face Baugh on Bell

Last night (well, this morning) on radio, guest Dr. Carl Edward Baugh, YEC, with Coast-to-Coast host Art Bell:

(paraphrasing)

Baugh: “The earth is the center of the universe. We know that from observations from the Hubble Telescope, all other galaxies are moving away from us. The earth is exactly 6,470 years old. We know from SETI that there is no other life in the universe.”

Bell: “What about all UFO and ET sightings?”

Baugh said, that if there is life “out there” it came from the earth!?!

No response from Bell on that one (but he did repeat Baugh’s answer to make sure that is what he said).

The earth is the center of the universe.

And Baugh's brain is the black hole at its center...

We know that from observations from the Hubble Telescope, all other galaxies are moving away from us.

Err...except for Andromeda, which may be on a collision course with the Milky Way, set to crash in @3 billion years...

But he's right, most galaxies are moving away from us. Just like most galaxies are moving away from most other galaxies.

The earth is exactly 6,470 years old.

Hasn't managed to get it down to the exact day, minute and second yet, I see...

We know from SETI that there is no other life in the universe.

We know from SETI that we have yet to detect radio signals from other life in the universe, doofus. With logic like this, how can any conclusion this guy reaches be trusted?

Don't be surprised by this guys. There are a lot of Christians who believe that there ARE real pyramids on Mars. According to them, these pyramids were built by the pre-flood people who settled on Mars with the help of demons. Supposedly the theory goes that when Jehovah destroyed the world in the flood he "stretched out the heavens" (whatever that means). When the heavens were "stretched" it caused vast disruptions, radiation increases, explosions, and the destruction of Martian-human civilization. I am not saying that is what Baugh neccesarily was alluding to, but well, point made.
