What are we going to do about June 6, 2006
We have lived through September 9, 1999 or 9999.
We esaped the end of the millinium wrath on 12-31-99 or was it 12-31-00. But, my friend, what are we going to do on June 6, 2006 = 666. Will our fundy friends ask congress to have two June 5ths that year? |

I'm still thinking about this:
Christians worried and saved and panicked about 12-31-99 and nothing happened. Then...September 11th. What's the point? love Helen |

911 is an evil number, and no one shall get an ambulance, nor speak their name

Of course most of the planet's inhabitants refer to that date as 11-9, not 9-11.

Good point BigJim. I seriously doubt the terrorists specifically chose the emergency number which is only used in the US...

The best reason I heard for this was 'if we have food we can help other people who don't, if a crisis happens'. But I still would have liked to hear more serious discussion among Christians over where to draw the line between "God will take care of us if a crisis happens - of course!" and "Where is the nearest spam vendor?" If a theist always takes care of their own needs - real and even potential - then they will never know whether God would have done it for them in awesome ways, demonstrating His personal love and care for them, had they waited for him to do it. They will never know; of course people here would have an opinion about that, though love Helen |
