Corporate logos on butterflies?
A recent Yoga magazine that my wife is reading made the claim that an article in "an ecology journal" said that a researcher at State University of New York at Buffalo has (or is researching) engineering butterflies to have corporate logos on them.
This sound like an internet rumor that made it into print to me, I can't find a reference for it. I would think it may be possible in theory (after all we could do at least crude logos with enough generations and selection) but it would be pretty expensive for a small and controversial gain for a company. Anybody know about this? Think of the effects; for the next thousand years there are butterflies with the "pets.com" sockpuppet logo on them. Or Enron, Worldcom, BaptistBoard.... HW |
