A Case for Christ by Lee Strobel
Today I got into a discussion with two friends of mine, one posed "Do you go to church?"
I said "No" My fate was sealed there. They started shooting all sorts of questions at me about the origins of morals and the point of life. Anyway, it would around to the point where one of them ask if I would read A Case for Christ. I agreed and she said she would try to lend me her copy. She brefily explained that it was a crime sene investigator who was an atheist and through her research of the validity of the bible came to be christian. Aside from that, can any one tell me anything more about this book? |

There is a ton of information debunking this book in the Infidels Library. Just browse the Christianity section.

Strobel claims to be a hard nosed investigative journalist, but his book is nothing of the sort. He was converted to Christianity, feels that it is good for everyone, and has produced a book that is supposed to quiet your rational doubts about the dubious Christian story. However, only people who want to believe in Christianity and who shut their eyes to all other evidence will be taken in by his book.
Review by Jeffery Jay Lowder You can find other reviews by going to www.infidels.org and searching for Strobel. Earl Doherty has also written a book, Challenging the Verdict, described here. |

Thank you Toto, that review is gold, and I'll be sure to write down Challenging the Verdict.

I must be lucky to never have been confronted like that (perhaps I just haven't had enough time to). Most of my friends are atheists (or just apathetic), so I don't hang around many christians really. Most of the christians here are crazy emo kids or some other flavor of idiot. Maybe when I get to college I can shoot down a newly fundified fundie...
