for those who say it's the result of an immoral lifestyle...
what about those people in third/second world countries who get into a nasty accident and need a blood transfusion, then get Aids from the donated blood? |

although, to be fair, many religions seem to have focused on teaching people to stay indoors away from temptation, danger, etc and to just spend the time praising god/giving money to the church.

Why do we spend so much time fighting fundamentalism - because they are trying to force their religion by promoting legislation! Don't like the gay lifestyle - don't do it! Why do you feel necessary to enforce your beliefs on everyone else too??? If Buddhists start using the Dalai Lama's writings to persecute gays, or prevent science teaching in schools, I'll bitch about them too! scigirl |

Wouldn't this form of thinking lead to natural selection, or in other words, survival of the fittest? Is it something that a-theists really want to point out to Christians? Or should someone pull me aside by the ear and let me know that Christians are putative human beings? Starboy [ July 30, 2002: Message edited by: Starboy ]</p> |
