Catholics destroy flipflops of Jesus
"Jesus and Mary" sandals cause a scandal in Denmark
"COPENHAGEN (AFP) - A supermarket chain in Denmark has sparked an outcry by selling flip-flop sandals featuring images of Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary, with a local Catholic parish filing charges against the store for blasphemy." " On Monday, Christian demonstrators of Middle Eastern origin stormed one of the chain's stores and destroyed the "flip-flops of shame" that they said "trample all over" their faith." These guys have lost it. Fortunately the store seems to be taking the attitude of "f them. we're not going to listen to people who destroy our shit and harass our customers" Score one for the good guys. "we cannot accept to just fold because of the protests of a minority, who in addition commit acts of vandalism against our products and trouble our other customers" |

This is CSS - a local priest has filed charges of blasphemy against the store. (It can't happen in America.)

I couldn't see Jesus or Mary in the photo from the article.
I don't think the sandals were these: Ship of Fools Gadgets for God |

I think something similar happened over here recently, only some store (A&F or AE, one of those trendy places I never shop at) made Ginesh sandals. Some Hindus were pretty pissed, but they just boycotted.

Hey, I'm from Denmark, duuh
Here is a pic of teh MAry ones: http://www.jv.dk/article.asp?id=G8H8...=Varde&u3=&u4= or a better one: http://www.jv.dk/showpic.asp?id=G8H8FCE4.1&no=1 http://www.jv.dk/showpic.asp?id=GU18FJLO.1&no=1 It's sandals, it's a pic. The trambling of Jesus and Mary only happens in teh mind of those who perceive it as that. Relax is what I say to that. DD - Love Spliff |

This is getting even better. Upon closer examination of the sandals, it has turned out that the person on the picture may not be Jesus, but the apostle Judas. The Danes can read the story here, the rest of you will have to look for it somewhere else.
I guess that in the light of this disovery there won't be a prosecution after all. Although the Catholics might still be pissed off about the Mary ones, so maybe... |

It says though that it wasn't Judas Iskariot, but Judas Thaddeus.
It is noticed that the man on the sandal, carries a picture of jesus in a medallion, meaning that they got all rauled up about nothing. DD - Love Spliff |
