Post Free Will and Evil (again or still)

I know. *groan* Not another free will thread. Ignore it at your pleasure.

I had this thought back in the RRP forum, and thought I would throw it out here:

If an individual has free will to choose not to do evil, then all of humanity can have free will and choose not to do evil, because all of humanity is made up of a bunch of individuals.
To say that some people MUST always choose evil is to deny the free will of those individuals.

If God can make one person who has free will and who chooses not to do evil, then God can make 5 billion people who have free will and choose not to do evil.

Therefore, it is possible for God to make all of humanity with free will and still have had the earth devoid of evil.

Thus, free will does not get God out of the Arguement from Evil.

Nothing new, I'm sure. But for those who haven't done it to death, have at it.

You might want to take a look at <a href="http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/kyle_gerkin/failing.html" target="_blank">Holding Overruled by Kyle Gerkin.</a>

Do a CNTRL-F and search for free will.

Quote:
Excerpt: "If this is the case, then God could have simply made people incapable of conceiving of immoral actions. This would in no way impugn their free will according to the above model. It's not as if there are only two, black & white alternatives to any given situation. The person in question would still have a number of alternatives to choose from, however, they would all be morally acceptable choices."
I think there may be another article somewhere in a response to Strobel's "Case for Faith" but this one rang a bell when I saw your post.
