Someone called M.N. Anderson has written a book called : "Jesus 2000 years after Jesus". In chapter 2 he has just deliberately mistranslated Hindu scriptures to prove that they are copied from gospels and are actually 20th century.

He translates, 'Prajapathy' alias 'Hiranya garbha', the first born, was born to the Holy Spirit (Rigveda X: 121,1). The actual translation is, " IN the beginning rose Hiranyagarbha, born Only Lord of all created beings" --- no holy spirit or Christ.


The term for protector is 'Lokpal" --- protector of worlds. It always means gods, though it can be applied to kings as well. That is why Anderson had to put in Saviour in brackets, because the meaning is simply not there. The Holy Spirit neither created a male nor a son. He created 'purusha' and gave it form: purusha means Soul, or Spirit or Self. Finally god did not create purusha from his self. The text explicitly states 'shohodbhya' or from water. "From water He lifted up the solid mass of purusha and gave it form".

Anderson has added the last line because the verse reads ---
This Purusa is all that yet hath been and all that is to be;
The Lord of Immortality which waxes greater still by food.

Here Anderson claims that this is modeled on Christ's death. But the verses in context reads:

6.When Gods prepared the sacrifice with Purusa as their offering,
Its oil was spring, the holy gift was autumn; summer was the wood.
7 [They] took as a victim Purusa born first of all.
Him the Deities and all Sadhyas and Rsis sacrificed in fire.
…
15 Seven fencing-sticks (altars?) Had he, thrice seven layers of fuel were prepared,
When the Gods, offering sacrifice, bound, as their victim, Purusa.

What Anderson had done is to compress these verses, cut out what did not fit and pretend it is one verse that supports his thesis. Verse number 7 specifically mentions fire, which is totally left out.

Only someone without even the basic knowledge of Hinduism would say there is no hell in Hinduism. After death the soul goes to heaven and hell for a limited period and then gets reborn. Hindus have a finite Hell and that is why it is upsetting to think of dwelling in hell always. The term hell do appear several times in Gita. if Christians think this is not a proper hell at all, that is upto them. But in this case they are liars.

Oh Yeah? Yantra or machine is an ancient term used for devices created by human beings. Machine includes chariots, on which Krishna happens to be sitting while he was saying this.

All that he proves is that he is a bloody liar again:
"The place from where no man returns once he had gone there, which cannot be exposed by the sun, nor the moon, that is my supreme abode."
Fire and electricity are not mentioned. The translator had inserted it himself.

Again the translator had deliberately substituted his own words to prove that the hymns were written in 20th century:
1. FROM both thy nostrils, from thine eyes, from both thine ears and from thy chin,
Forth from thy head and brain and tongue I drive thy malady away.
2 From the neck-tendons and the neck, from the breast-bones and from the spine,
From shoulders, upper, lower arms, I drive thy malady away.
3 From viscera and all within, forth from the rectum, from the heart,
From kidneys, liver, and from spleen, I drive thy malady away.
4 From thighs, from knee-caps, and from heels, and from the forepart of the feet,
From hips from stomach, and from groin I drive thy malady away.
5 From thy urine-producing genitalia, and from thy hair, and from they nails,
From all thyself from top to toe, I drive thy malady away.
6 From every member, every hair, disease that comes in every joint,
From all thyself, from top to toe, I drive thy malady away.

Oxygen and enzyme is not there.

What I can't understand is how he expects to get away with this blatant mistranslation when even a laywoman like me can catch him. Or is the book meant only for American sheep?

When the sheep are desperate and hungry they will eat anything. Anderson is just searching for things to reinforce their illusive salvation and that is just another way to do it and will work until it withers away.

Do yourself a favor and don't be angry over it.

I'm certainly no expert, but its my understanding that the Gitas are much older than the bible. I doubt anyone other than those who are already brainwashed will fall for it.
