Question Comas

Suppose, say, a five-year-old girl was put into a coma. She remained in that state for 25 years, when she "woke up." Now, she has a 25-year-old woman's body, but wouldn't she still have a five-year-old girl's mind? What would it be like to get knocked out small and skinny, and wake up three times your previous size, and with a totally different shape? Are there any case examples of situations like this?

Actually, she would be 30 years old but who's counting?

Oliver Sack's Awakenings may be the best reference.

Doh-eth! My original example was for her to be in a coma for 20 years, and end up 25, but I got confuzzled.

I'll look into it.

Awakenings is a fascinating story.

You’ll find that the answers to your questions are yes, and that it was a very bewildering and tragic experience for those involved.
