I'm arguing with a cretinist over on evcforum.net who thinks that Spetner's book ranks up there with the Gospels. He's arguing hotspots are evidence of non-random mutation. It's kind of sad, really - the poor guy is utterly confused over what constitutes "random" mutation.

Bottom line, Spetner's a joke.

Spetner's last legitimate scientific paper was published in 1970.

Since then, he has been involved in various anti-evolution shenanigans, most comically the attempt by he, Hoyle and Wickramasingh to 'prove' thaty Archaeopteryx was a fake... well, one of the 8 Archie fossils, anyway...


Their 'scientific' analysis was so impressive, that it got published...

in a second-rate British photography magazine...
