Formal Debate with GeoTheo?
Hello Geo,
Although we disagree on many issues, I find your persistence here, and willingness to examine new ideas, to be refreshing. Would you be interested in a formal debate on some issue pertaining to evolution/creation? This would be you and only one other person, 1 on 1 (a little less intimidating than the current ratio for sure). Any volunteers to debate Geo? (I don't have a lot of free time, but if we keep the subject fairly narrow, I may be able to do it). Let us know - it is kind of fun, and both participants usually learn a lot. (Plus Dr Rick is getting awfully bored watching tumbleweeds at FD&D)! scigirl |

Heres some possible topics, from posts by GeoTheo:
Is anyone here willing to be honest and admit that abiogenesis presents a big problem to anyone with common sense? I think my theory was pretty good. I could make the same predictions for it that can be made for descent with modification. Every single one. Descent with modification in six days I'll call it. I also can make predictions that fit the fosil record more closely. |

Well, Peoples opinions may have changed of me in the last few minutes. But I would like to say That I really was not just trying to screw with peoples heads. I really was trying to make a point.I would be interested in a one on one debate on the question of human origins.
I would like to debate wheather or not there is enough evidence based on the fossil record to show man evolved. |

On second thought maybe I would like to debate my descent with modification theory.
I need a little time to prepare. |

Hey don't worry about it. This is not the Baptist Board. We may force you to back up every single allegation you make, but we don't ban you for disagreeing with us. In fact, we thrive on this stuff for some strange reason. Quote:
Although - I'm more of a genetics person, don't know much about fossils and radioactive dating. scigirl |

I'm always game And I can certainly handle a once-a-week post.
[For the descent with modification bit, that is. I don't know enough about human paleontology to be able to make a coherent argument one way or the other.] [ July 18, 2002: Message edited by: Hallucigenia ]
|

Take your time, Theo; briefly summarize your postion on the issue "Descent with Modification" here so that your opponent can begin preparation. You don't need to present your arguements; just tell us what position you will argue. Rick, Moderator of FD&D [ July 18, 2002: Message edited by: rbochnermd ]
|
