Post Need quote for letter to editor

Can anyone tell me where I can find exact quote in which the speaker says something to the effect that if a religion is a good one, it can survive on its own. If it needs the government, I trust it is a bad one.

"When a religion is good, I conceive it will support itself; and when it does not support itself, and God does not take care to support it so that it's professors are obliged to call for help of the civil power, 'tis a sign I apprehend, of it's being a bad one." B. Franklin--letter to Richard Price, Oct. 9 , 1780 (2000 Years of Disbelief, James A Haught)
