Wink New line for the "Pledge"

I have a great idea for an addition to "The Pledge of Allegience." This one is even constitutional. How 'bout, right after "indivisible", put:

"Pizza is great."

I'm sure the majority of people in the U.S.A. would agree with that statement. Granted, it doesn't add anything of substance but what's the big deal? If you don't like pizza, you don't have to say the pledge (it just means you're not patriotic).

Nice parallel Javaman!

Maybe people would see our views in a better light if pizza was recognized.

Talking

On the other hand, what would the Pledge read like if Pat Robertson had his way with it:
Quote:
... one nation, of heterosexuals, under Jesus, with liberty and justice for all who believe like Pat does.
Now wouldn't that be a great pledge?

I lifted this idea from a friend who told me about a year ago of his love for hamburgers. He wanted to get a T-shirt proclaming his love for them and print up some leaflets to pass out. He thought that, since he liked hamburgers so much, everyone else should, too. In addition, the people that didn't like them were just plain wrong and he would show them the light.

Kind of prophetic...

Indivisible pizza is great? Well I guess if its indivisible no-one else can take a piece, so you get the whole thing to yourself, but it is kind of hard to eat unless it is cut up.

The anti-abortion crowd has been lobbying in recent years to get Congress to add "born and unborn" to the end of the pledge ("...liberty and justice for all, born and unborn."). I am NOT kidding about this.

Just change the pledge line to "Under Santa Claus".

Think about it, Children will be happy, as will their parents who promote the idea. Most of all, Congress and Bush would be too stupid to know the difference.

Bush would notice. The word "Santa" is too hard for him.

I like "one nation, to rule them all." Too bad Peter Jackson hasn't passed that throught to promote his movies.
