Christian Problems
I am just curious on one thing. Why do the majority of the posts here deal with picking apart Christianity rather than Hinduism or Shamanism or some other theology? Is it simply just because it is the most "popular" way to explain things illogically here in the states?

Because it is the most patently absurd and the most intrusive.

Most of us here are from the USA. Christianity is what we are exposed to. It poses the greatest threat to us. Plus, it is so damned easy to pick apart.

It is the most intrusive, around here at least. If you have one Christian, you're okay. Get two, and they'll start doing prayer meetings.
Five or ten and they'll start their own little church. A couple hundred and they'll start knocking on doors. Load your fricking legislative houses with them and they'll pass laws around their ridiculous, nonsensical, oppressive religious rules, forcing even those of us who don't believe their way to live by them anyway. If they didn't do that kind of retarded shit I wouldn't have any problems with them. They'd just be another group of weirdos among millions of others, no more, no less. |

I can't remember the last time a Shaman showed up around here. Christians are a dime a dozen, though.

I believe it is because, there is a debate whether or not Jesus was a man, or if he was God.
Or as I believe. God in man, and man in God. DD - Love Spliff |

I think most atheists pick on Christians for a few reasons:
1. Christianity is an evangelical religion. That is, unlike almost all other religions (except the airport weenies), Christians bug people. They propogate by infecting a host, converting him, and sending him out to do the same--like a cancer, or a virus, or worse yet, Amway. 2. Christianity is the only religion actively trying to coopt and currupt the education of young minds with YEC claptrap. 3. If you drive across the country, you will find that in the most isolated areas, the only radio stations are Christian stations spewing their nastiness. The main reason I pick on them is 3. Ed |

I'll agree with Nermal's point #3. And I have a bad habit of listening to fundy stations while I drive.

Christianity is the most intrusive religion (at least in the US).
