A virtual cut and paste job in fact! Can one plagiarise oneself on these boards?

Tarnaak, quite a story as far as it goes. Do you have any basis in reality for thinking any of this is so other than your feelings?

Did you read my post? If so, why have you substituted inclination for capacity?
Hey, you substituted addiction for predisposition, and these two words are much more closely related. What's good for the goose...

So god's NOT omniscient?

Shoot, I'm not omniscient and I would STILL have known that's what would happen!

Put two people without knowledge of good and evil in a garden.
Put a tree in that garden you don't want anyone eating from.
Put a snake in that garden to tell the people that eating from the tree is good.
Tell the people not to eat from the tree, and then leave the room for a while.

I mean, DUH. I don't have to be all-knowing to know THAT test is gonna fail. I work with kids, I see it all the time (and they at least have a modicum of knowledge when it comes to what's right and what's wrong).

The Fall of Man

22 And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever." 23 So the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.

And thus began a story of creation for a primitive agricultural society.

Where did the Tree of Life come from, anyway? IIRC, it didn't exist until that very verse in the Bible. It wasn't mentioned at all until then.

Which would mean God never told A&E not to eat from it.
