What are your thoughts on Marvin Harris, Ph.D.?
I have said before that I am a History major and have not studied Evolution . I was exposed to Creationism by the fundies that I went to church with years ago. Having said that....
I often enjoy the debates here, even though I only understand about 45% to 55%. I just started reading "Our Kind" by Dr. Harris and find it to be exactly what a novice to evolution such as myself is. I would appreciate any critiques from the pro's here on thie board. Stan the novice beachbum |

Marvin is a very well known anthropologist. He is also a good writer. His major theoretical contributions were (are) somewhat hampered by his avoidence of quantitative analysis, but have been productive for many researchers.
