School officials preached their religious views on homosexuality and forced him to read aloud from the Bible, in clear violation of the establishment clause of the First Amendment. This was done as punishment after McLaughlin, who is himself a Christian, disagreed with a teacher for calling him "abnormal" and "unnatural."

A friend of mine sent me the same piece from The Advocate this morning. That KKKristians behaved like this is not surprising in the slightest. What I found unfortunate is that this poor kid still considers himself a member of the vile cult. I don't know how anyone could suggest with any seriousness that KKKristianity is a mostly harmless, loving world view. Hopefully, he'll soon grow up and tell his oppressors where to shove it. He's openly gay in a hostile environment which is a good sign he'll be able to stand up to these christbots. I hope he escapes that backwater sooner rather than later--and since he's likely to win big in whatever lawsuit will undoubtedly be pending that adds more hope that he won't be stuck with the goons.

I'm sure we all remember that gods don't kill people. People with gods kill people.

I'm sure whoever thought of it first wouldn't mind. I don't remember where I first heard it, but I didn't make it up.

I'm so incredibly angry right now that using an emoticon would cheapen the anger I am feeling right now.

Sadly, it's not unbelievable. It's just fucking...enraging. Son of a bitch.

Knots in the stomach, blind, spiteful rage kind of thing, even. I wish I could be on the high ground and claim otherwise, but I hate those teachers and anyone else involved in such oppressive actions. Hate is just about the right word. Just about, because there are no words to describe the emotions this kind of...sickening...behaviour brings out in me.

OK, even with all the fundifying and warmongering and various brainless shit going on in this country, I still would have never thought something this disgusting and backward could happen. aahhh, maybe I'm just too optimistic. Now that's a scary thought.
I wonder what would have happened to that poor kid if he were also atheist or even just nonchristian...*shakes head*....this country is so seriously screwed up.
