Default Scientists say NO transitional forms!

Has anyone seen this claim before? Refutations? (museum official = office administrator who runs the HR department? )

Thanks.

NONE of the five museum officials whom Luther Sunderland interviewed could offer a single example of a transitional series of fossilized organisms that would document the transformation of one basically different type to another.

Sunderland actually did interview a bunch of credible people on this matter. Though those credible people are not exactly happy with how their views were protrayed by Sunderland. Both of Niles Eldredge's books on creationism discuss the matter. Eldredge was one of those interviewed. A simple Google search will reveal web articles on this as well.

Even if the views given were accurate, the evil darwinist establishment would NEVER allow the scientists to express them and keep their jobs, funding, lives.....

It's sort of funny that even when people are confronted with a photocopy of Colin Patterson's letter about how Sunderland misrepresented him (on the TalkOrigins site), they still refuse to accept it. I suppose the difference between evolution in cladistics and evolution itself is too much for some of these people. Sunderland's hatchet job on Eldredge was particularly vicious, though, because it was suggesting that Eldredge was criticising his coplleagues at the museum for deliberately misleading the public. Some of these professional creationists are very adept at hiding behind the general perception that Christians don't lie.

Or they claim that Patterson was bowing to pressure from the evil evolutionist conspiracy.

Well, the entire week has been one long diatribe of stereotypical creationist misunderstandings and misrepresentations. It's amazing to actually encounter someone, who though quite intelligent, is a total composite of all the theist characters we have encountered here in the past. I've rebutted each of his arguments with facts, logic, etc, and basically shut him down.

Probably the most annoying thing (although it explains alot) is that when I try to show him the details of anything, he simply doesn't want to go to any depth. I've been accused of providing too much information, too many links.

It was fun however, to show him the AiG list of arguments that shouldn't be used, which contained many of his objections.

He did however offer want to buy my copy of The Bible Unearthed. I presume that was to finish reading it, rather than to burn it...
