I thought "Pleasures of Righteousness" was an Oxymoron?

anyway, check out the link given above for more posts by the same guy. The guy makes Jack Chick look downright liberal. "Anti, some atheists rape children, but children of God who love God never rape children. I did not mean all atheists rape, but that atheists rape. Those who love righteousness (God) do not rape. It is those who live for the pleasures of wickedness who rape. Not all atheists, but most. Rape and incest is committed by those who do not love righteousness, but by those who love wickedness. It’s good to discipline your child, but God certainly wasn’t talking about beating them to death." http://tcboards.talkcity.com/cgi-bin/WebX.cgi?14@33.Kckdam07tQC^1@.ef07fc3/187 [ February 07, 2002: Message edited by: tgamble ]
|

Why don't Strunk and White reveal themselves to this person? Hey? You tell me. (thinking of the dull, law-abiding, circumspect life I lead, I begin to feel I am missing out on the true atheist experience) |

I think this guy must not read the news - what about all those damned Catholic priests who so love molesting and sodomozing young boys. And what about those Protestant ministers who have been convicted of the same thing? Or all of those lovely 700 CLub people who lie to steal your money? Oh goodness - what a crock of shit. Somebody needs to put this man on some serious mind altering drugs - he is obviously living in a fantasy world filled with some pretty serious delusions!

Judging from the writing style, I'd say the mind-altering drugs are something he's already experienced.
Hey Brighid, would this be a bad time to bring up the Baptist choir director who tried to feel me up? Or the assistant pastor at the same church who ran away with a parishoner's wife? Ahem. [ February 08, 2002: Message edited by: bonduca ]
|

"no true christian would commit a crime" "what about Rev Keith the kiddy fiddler?" "he wasn't a true christian..." you simply redefine 'true christian' as someone who never commits a crime and you're away... the other classic along the same lines is - "ask jesus sincerely to enter your heart and he will" "i asked and he didn't enter my heart" "you didn't ask sincerely enough..." bb |

Bonduca,
No - it wouldn't! But I guess those men weren't "true" Christians! Brighid |
