An ABC News report claims that what a mother eats during pregnancy has a great effect on which genes "express" during the development of the foetus:

The study shows that common nutrients can influence which genes turn on and off in a developing fetus, and help explain some of the factors that decide which genes "express" and which remain silent.

Thus, while one's genetic "nature" limits the range of options, the selection of which options are exercised out of the range of options available within the individual's genes is clearly under the control of "nurture."
