Billions of Worshippers = Nothing gained?
This topic is an attempt to understand why Magus55 feels that Jesus never gained anything after he came back to life. My guess is that Jesus could have forced anyone to worship him, but Magus also emphasises the need for FREE worship, etc. Any views on this?

I don't think it matters if the worship is free or not, if it happens then it is a gain, doesn't matter the mechanism of how it happens.

My guess is that most members of this forum would ask for evidence that Jesus came back to life before getting down to his motives for doing so.

But hypothetically speaking, I would say that winstonjen's hypothesis is correct. Although, Magus55 and others would probably argue that many of the "billions of followers" of Christ, aren't following properly, or aren't 'true followers' or some such thing. Considering that the largest groups (Catholics, Orthodox, and Protestants) differ greatly, so much so that some fight amongst each other, there's bound to be some debate on this. |
