Blynn, the moderator who supposedly banned me, is not online right now at CF. Yet the moderator would have to be online, in order to ban me. So how did I get banned by this person?

I've been debating with Stormy today, and she hasn't been taking it very well. Frankly, she got her little fundie butt kicked about six different ways.

My guess is that Stormy and Blynn are the same person - just like LouisBooth created Outspoken as his sock puppet.

And since I gave Stormy a serious slapdown today, she logged in for a minute under her Moderator profile, and banned me.
Can a lone mod or admin really ban someone over there?

Here mods can't ban anyone. It takes 2 admins for a 24 hour ban and 3 admins for a permanent ban.

They are inviting abuse if it only takes one person to ban.

Yep, depending on the seriousness of the rule that was broken. Trolls can be banned at will.

Bannings of controversial members are usually democratically discussed and unanimously dealt with. At least that's the way it used to be.

The moderators have 'invisible mode' (the regular members had that option at one time also) So you may not have seen Blynn online.
I'm guessing that Stormy is not Blynn. Stormy did something very nice for me once after someone called me a Satanist (Yeah, I know ) She attacked the person and the moderator that stood by and agreed with her..with a vengeance! It was a very nice thing she did since she could have easily been banned for it.

I wish that thread hadn't been trashed.

I knew it! Invisimode would explain a lot.

From Christian Forums, the place for New Christians, in answer to why a new christian should try to convert her friend, too:

quote:
1.)She doesn't like the idea of some book telling you what is right and wrong.

I'd rather have a book that's been around 6000 years that's been tested by time tell me what to do that to look to a stranger or my own brain tell me what to do. I challenge your friend to read the book of Proverbs and see if they find any stuff that they think is bad advice.
