""""Well Manners------------ that helped a hell of a lot in answering the question.
Thanks a bunch."""""" BH: The Trinity can be compared to the US Senate. There is one Senate yet many individual members of the said Senate, so there is one Yahwehole with three members to the said Yahwehole. The TRINITY IS NOTHING BUT A DAMN POLITICAL RACKET! """"Remember it was you who brought up the Holy Ghost problem. Start something, you have to live with it."""""" BH: Or blaspheme it. |

I have indeed blasphemed the holy spirit, for the express purpose of invalidating Pascal's Wager as it applies to me.

I can't remember how I blasphemed the holy spirit, but I did so to my own satisfaction. If God doesn't like that, he's free to let me know and I'll remedy the situation. Aside from that I feel no obligation to waste my time. (Only wasting my time talking about time wasting activities I will not perform.) |

It doesn't really make a lot of sense- blaspheming a myth, fercrisakes- but a lot of things I do don't make sense. And blasphemy is still illegal here(although, it's one of those archaic laws, which will most likely be removed from the books soon, AFAIK), and has a maximum penalty of 22-23 years in prison. It'd be amusing if that law was ever enforced. Half the population of Tasmania in the slammer... |

BH, i'm gonna run with it. Now remember I'm a bit buzzed so this may not make sense...
I have not blasphemed the Holy Ghost. I have asked all kinds of christians what the hell the holy ghost is supposed to be. I still have no idea wtf this spirit/ghost triparate god figure is supposed to do other than spit fire over people's heads. Some tell me blah blah about heart blah blah, but i can't honestly get ahold of the idea of what ever on heaven or earth they are talking about when they mention the spook. So no, i don't think i've blasphemed it yet, since i have no idea what it is. But i'll go ahead and give it my best. "Oh holy Ghost! May you be trapped forevermore in a little box by the Ghostbusters. Oh Spirit, please pour me another glass, for I do indeed like the spirits. Especially rum and coke, and some good cabernet. Holy Ghost, write upon my heart directions so the surgeons know what the fuck to do. Holy Spirit, you don't exist, even though you were made up by scribes and interpreters, hook a brutha up, i'm just lookin' for a honey." I hope that qualifies |

So, what exactly qualifies as blaspheming the holey spirits? Can it just be a play on the name, or disbelief in it? Do I have to attribute bad actions to it? Do I just mock it? Demean it? What, exactly?
Well, anyhoo, here goes my preemptive attempt 1) gimme s'more of dose ol' holey spirits. 2) The "abrahamaic" gawd, in all its forms and stories, is a crock of shit. This includes any supposed components, including but not limited to: Yahweh, Father, Son, Holy Ghost, Jehova. 3) The holy ghost is responsible for all actions in the old testament. 4) Wasn't the "holy ghost" one of the scooby-doo monsters, and just turned out to be Jesus using a halloween costume to scare people off some property so he could drill for oil, or erect a shopping mall? "Cursed be thee in mine sight! I wouldst have gotten away with it, too, were it not for thou pesky kids! My father, why hast thou forsaken me?" 5) Holy Ghost? Sounds like a euphemism, if you ask me! I'll bet those catholic priests do a great job of filling the altar boys up with the 'holy spirit'! Gee... I hope I've covered it |

Iey----------
Thanks for affirming what I vaguely recollected. Also thanks for injecting a tone of intellectual seriousness into what is a very silly thread. But I can't complain too much. That is why this thread was dumped into the "sillyville" part of the forum in the first place. So have at it all you "silly ones". That is what this particular place is for. Dump on the Holy Ghost all you want. It is your right and it is your duty here. Enjoy. |
