JF, he's not asking for an exact number. What he wants to know is, how did two of every single species that ever existed on the earth fit in that ark? Given that there are 10,000 known species of centipedes, there would have to have been 20,000 centipedes on the ark.

Not to mention 800,000 beetles.

Well, I can tell you. At least, I can tell you what a creationist on another forum once told me, which was that there are really only 37 different kinds of animals that can't swim or fly (those that could, flew or swam alongside the ark) and at the time of the flood, Australia hadn't been created yet!
