It is not 13. It is 666. Here is why:
Rev 13:16-18 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
threescore means sixty.

For centuries, people have tried to 'pin the tail on the AntiChrist' using this number and a whole load of weird and wonderful calculations. here is a site that tells you how many people have been labelled the AntiChrist:

No person on this site has actually become the AntiChrist.
You can make any name equal 666, you know.

A footnote in my bible tells me that some ancient manuscipts designate 616 as the "number of the beast," not 666.

Would this make 616 the second-scariest number for Christians, or would it tie with 666 as the supremely scary number?

Isn't this pretty much universally known? I think you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn't know 666 is the number of the antichrist in Christian mythology. It's been the subject of innumerable movies/TV shows/etc. Besides, a good deal of us here are ex-Christians and are well-versed in Christianity. Most of us are probably more knowledgable about the Bible than your average Christian. Is your next post going to be about how there was this guy named Jesus who was 100% human and 100% god?

I guess I'm just not sure what your point was with that post, although I do applaud you for realizing how silly the antichrist witch hunt has gotten.

Being afraid of numbers is where I have to draw the line. This is ridiculous and anyone afraid of a number needs serious professional help.

I thought the exact same thing. What planet do you think we are from FF? Any 10 Year Old kid knows this stuff. What is the true nature of your point being made?

I just wanted to talk about 666. Also Jesus is 100% God and 100% man. I believe that. Oh suuuure people would say I'm misguided, but that's what I believe and I'm not changing it.
