I was planning to stop posting to this board, 'coz it's one of those nothing-to-do type of post. But, I would just like to comment on Catman's assertion: Jean was a Christian philosopher. That is open to debate, really. I have not read any works of Rousseau where he implored the heavenly divine. On the other hand, there were plenty of time where he appealed to the divinity of man. His famous word being: "I am I, a sacred I, thus far do I belong, thus far do I surrender myself." And isn't atheism all about "human divinity"? |
