Who are the prophets that the collective Jews killed?
Why are Jews contrary to all men?

I think Paul was talking about the Jewish prophets from the Hebrew Bible and probably those Jewish prophets whose words never made it into the Hebrew Bible. I think there is a saying in one of the canonical Gospels where Jesus basically states this same thing.

Is this Paul's word, or the insertion of a later editor? Is there any scholarly consensus or range of opinion on that?
