Definitely Maxwell's Equations have to be near, if not at, the top of the list.

The whole quantum mechanics revolution (Planck, De Broglie, Schroedinger, Heisenberg, Bohr, Einstein).

Newton's Laws.

Spiral Nebulae = other galaxies (and that's only about 100 years old!!)
